One PDF · every edit happens locally

Tip: use “Edit text” to click any sentence and rewrite it; use Whiteout for visual corrections only — it is not secure redaction.

How it works

  1. 1Open a PDF and pick a tool from the editor toolbar.
  2. 2“Edit text” highlights every text run - click one to rewrite it in place.
  3. 3Add text boxes, whiteout areas or images; drag to move, panel to style.
  4. 4Export rebuilds your edits into a validated PDF - nothing was uploaded.

Your privacy

This tool runs entirely inside your browser using JavaScript and Web Workers. Your document is never uploaded to any server — you can even disconnect from the internet and keep working once the page has loaded.

Frequently asked questions

How does click-to-edit work?

We map each visible text run to its exact position, cover that region and draw your replacement on top using matching size and color. Complex embedded fonts fall back to Helvetica equivalents, which we note honestly.

Is Whiteout secure like redaction?

No. Whiteout visually covers content. True redaction (permanently removing content) is planned for our Privacy Suite phase.

Can I edit scanned pages?

Yes, with the OCR-assisted editing action. Recognized words become selectable regions, and edits use a disclosed whiteout-plus-text overlay rather than reconstructing hidden source content.
